At Juniper Lane Studio, I create art that joins the beauty of the natural world with scientific accuracy. Through Conservation Art and Natural Science Illustration, my goal is to foster connection, curiosity, and care for the ecosystems we share. Every piece is grounded in observation, research, and reverence for the wild—bringing clarity and wonder to both science and storytelling.
About Me
I’m a conservation artist, natural science illustrator, and founder of Juniper Lane Studio. I have over a decade of experience working in the wildlife conservation field. Though most of my time was spent working with birds, I also have experience with reptiles, amphibians, and large mammals, including elephants, rhinos, lions, and some antelope species. This background has given me an intimate understanding of anatomy and behavior. I draw on that knowledge in my work, using it to create pieces that are both accurate and expressive.
I hold a Master’s in Conservation Medicine from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, MA, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Studio Art from Willamette University in Salem, OR.
I live in Jackson, Wyoming, with my husband, two kids, two dogs, and a cat. I’m surrounded by juniper and aspen trees full of wild birds which I enjoy sketching from my deck. My days are shaped by curiosity, close observation, and a deep respect for the ecosystems that surround us—and I bring all of that into the work you’ll find here.
